Popsie 60" – Belair Parts Set
Belair have taken the original profiles and outline of the Smeed-designed Popsie and re-designed the model to a 60" (1524mm) wingspan. Despite its larger size, the model is designed to fit into most small cars, making it ideal for transporting to the flying field. Powered by a modern brushless electric motor, the Popsie 60 makes a wonderful model for relaxed summer evening flying.
Construction remains very similar to the original Popsie, with only the necessary modifications made to suit the increased size.
The Belair Parts Set includes all the shaped balsa and plywood components required to build the basic airframe, including formers, bulkheads, cabin top, wing ribs, dihedral braces, wing and tail tip outlines, tail ribs and various smaller shaped components.
A full-size plan incorporating the RC modifications is supplied with the Parts Set, together with a vac-formed cowling.
Builders will need to supply the stripwood, sheet wood and covering required to complete the model. We also offer an optional wood pack containing all the necessary stripwood and sheet materials to complete the airframe.
Popsie graphics are also available as an optional extra.

Power
Our prototype uses an OS 32 / 750Kv brushless motor and approximately 350–500W of electric power. The model is also suitable for 30–46 size four-stroke engines, offering the option to build and fly the Popsie using either traditional IC power or modern electric power.
