The SPAD XIII proved to be the most successful French fighter aircraft of WW1. Well armed, extremely tough and a match for most German types it provided the mount of choice for many French, Italian and American aces.
Our SPAD is designed by renowned scale designer Peter Rake and features clear CAD plans and intricate laser-cut parts is available in either a 36" or 53" Wingspan
36" wingspan is Scale 1.33" to 1ft, for 400 size electric brushless motors and 2 cell lipoly batteries.
53" Wing Span Flies well on a 400-watt 3-cell power system
Both need a 4-channel Rudder, aileron, elevator and motor function
A full size multi-sheet plan is includedi n both sizes, the laser cut parts set includes all the balsa and plywood parts required to build the basic airframe, such as fuselage sides with spar slots and wing position holes laser cut for accuracy, formers, bulkheads, cowl components, wing ribs, shaped spars, tip shapes, trailing edges, struts plus many smaller items, including scale control horns, tail skid, wheel cores.
